Rome Photography Workshop
Half a day or a full day photographing Rome with a working local photographer. You bring the camera and the curiosity, I bring the city and the eye.
Half-day or full-day | Private | For anyone with a camera, beginners to pros | Half-day from €290 · Full-day €500
If you've brought a camera to Rome, you already know the feeling: the city is beautiful everywhere, and somehow the photos never quite capture it. That's what this fixes.
I'm Roman, and I photograph this city for a living. I take you to the places where Rome actually gives you a great frame, not just the crowded viewpoints, and I show you how to work them: where to stand, when the light turns, what to include and what to cut. You shoot, I guide, and we sharpen your images as you make them.
It works whether you're finding your way around your first proper camera or you already shoot professionally and simply want a local who knows where and when. Plenty of working photographers book me for exactly that.
HALF DAY
A focused session, around 3 to 4 hours, on one part of the city and the light that suits it. Enough to come away with a strong set of images and a clear sense of how you got them. Golden hour around the Colosseum, the backstreets, wherever the day points us.
FULL DAY
The real deep dive. We cover more of Rome and more kinds of light, from historic streets to the bold rationalist geometry of EUR, with time to slow down, review your shots together, and push them further. This is the one for people who want to genuinely change how they see, and for pros who want a full day of great locations without wasting light.
WHO IT'S FOR
Anyone with a camera and the wish to use it better. Beginners who want to finally understand the machine in their hands. Enthusiasts who want stronger frames. Professionals who want a local's map of the city's light. Any camera is welcome, from a mirrorless body to a phone you take seriously.
WHAT YOU TAKE HOME
Your own images of Rome, better than you'd have made alone, plus the understanding of why they work: light, timing, composition, and the instinct for where a good photograph is hiding. Guidance the whole way, honest feedback as you shoot, and a short recap of what we covered so it sticks.

Half-day from €290. Full-day €500. Always private, built around your level and your interests, never shared with strangers. Small-group rates on request. Send me your dates and I'll tell you what suits you and the light that time of year.

FAQ
What camera do I need?
Whatever you have. A mirrorless or DSLR is ideal, but a phone used seriously works too. If you have a camera you've never fully understood, bring it, that's part of what we'll fix.
I'm a complete beginner. Is that ok?
Completely. We start from where you are. You'll leave understanding your camera and with photos you're proud of.
I'm already a professional. What's in it for me?
A local who knows exactly where and when Rome delivers. You skip the scouting and spend the day shooting great locations in the right light. Many working photographers book me for this.
Half day or full day?
Half day for a focused set in one area. Full day to cover more of the city, more light, and really shift how you see. Unsure? Message me and I'll be honest about which fits.
Where do we go?
It depends on your level, the season, and the light. From the historic centre and the Colosseum at golden hour to the modernist lines of EUR. Tell me what draws you and we'll build around it.
Is it private?
Yes. Just you or your group, pace and focus built around you.
What if it rains?
Rome is superb in the rain, reflections, mood, drama. If the weather is truly impossible, we reschedule or adjust with no penalty.
