Born and raised in Rome
I'm Matteo, a photographer born and raised in Rome. Most of my work happens in the parts of the city visitors walk straight past: the market before it fills up, the bakery locals actually trust, the side street where the morning light turns an ordinary wall into something worth shooting.
Whether you come for a food experience, a portrait, or a few days learning to photograph, the idea is the same. I take you somewhere real, then hand you images that show what it actually felt like to be there.
What I Offer
Tour experiences
Private walks through Rome's food and backstreets, in the places I go myself. You taste and explore, I photograph, and you leave with a gallery of the day.
Photo workshop
Small, private sessions in Rome, half a day or full day. For people who want to go home shooting better than they arrived.
Photography
Portraits, couples, weddings, and celebrations, shot in Rome's light with an unhurried eye. Documented as it happens, never stiffly posed.
Matteo was extremely kind and created a tour fulfilling all my expectations. He gave me great advice for pictures and perspectives, and took pictures of me with lots of patience and passion. Unforgettable morning with him in Rome — rather had the impression being with a friend than a guide I just met some hours ago.

He took us to some iconic shops where we tried Rome classics like supplì, cheeses and cured meats, pastries, chocolate, gelato, espresso — all on foot in a leisurely pace to enjoy the ambience of Trastevere. A great experience we would highly recommend!

We shared an amazing day with Matteo outside of Rome. You pass beautiful green space along the way and reach the ancient town of Calcata. The views were amazing and the nice part was we were there with the locals. We purchased a keepsake from a local artisan and had a great lunch at a local cafe in town. We didn't want the day to end!
